AST SpaceMobile appointed Johan Wibergh, a retired former Chief Technology and Information Officer of Vodafone with over 35 years of telecommunications and networking experience, to its Board of Directors on June 3, 2024. Wibergh will serve on the Audit and Compensation Committees and will chair a newly formed Network Planning and Spectrum Committee, receiving an annual cash retainer of $50,000 plus $150,000 in restricted stock units and an additional $17,500 for committee service. The appointment was made pursuant to a director designation right held by Abel Avellan under an existing Stockholders' Agreement, and the Board determined Wibergh meets all independence standards under Nasdaq rules.
